Giving El Paso Day

Giving El Paso Day

El Paso Giving Day is a 24-hour charitable giving drive designed to ignite the spirit of giving across our region to support causes in the community where we live, work and play. The inaugural El Paso Giving Day will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

Our community’s first annual Giving Day is the result of partnerships and relationships developed between corporations, foundations, and non-profits from every part of our community. Together we can make El Paso an even greater place to live – for everyone! Visit the main website below to learn more.

How do I donate?

Starting at midnight on November 15, go to ElPasoGivingDay.org and use a credit or debit card to donate to a single nonprofit or to multiple nonprofits.  You will have a full 24 hours to make donations and can search for nonprofits by name or by category.  Participating nonprofits will have a profile page where you can choose the amount you want to donate; the minimum donation is $10.

How will this appear on my credit card statement?

This will appear as ‘Paso del Norte Foundation’ on your credit card statement.

Is the website secure?

Are donations made tax deductible?

Yes! All donations are tax deductible. You will receive an email receipt via Paso Del Norte Foundation immediately following your donation that can be used for tax purposes. You can request an additional email receipt anytime at elpasogivingday.org in the sidebar of the homepage.

What organizations are participating in El Paso Giving Day?

How much of the donation goes to the nonprofit?

Nonprofits will receive each of the gifts earmarked for their organization. There will be a processing fee, as is the practice for online giving. On the donation page, you will be given the option to add the processing fee to your donation so your nonprofit(s) will receive 100% of the donation.
